Overview
Compact high-speed 6-axis handling and assembly robot from Yaskawa's GP series: 8 kg payload, 727 mm horizontal reach, 1312 mm vertical reach and 0.01 mm repeatability. IP67 is standard (Motoman page: IP65-67). Mounts on floor, wall, tilt or ceiling and runs on the YRC1000 or YRC1000micro controller, with the standard teach pendant or the Smart Pendant.

- Weight: 32 kg from the Yaskawa America datasheet DS-866 (January 2021). An earlier note of 35 kg and optional ACC / food-grade / CR5 versions on the Yaskawa Europe page could not be reproduced (the GP8 URL returned 404 on re-check), so those claims are dropped.
- Launch year left null: the datasheet is dated January 2021 and a Monoist article dated 2021-11-15 (text garbled on fetch) refers to a 2021-10-25 release that may concern a food-processing specification, so the base GP8 date is not established.
