Overview
Small (57 cm) programmable humanoid for education, research and healthcare, the sixth generation of the NAO line created by Aldebaran (formerly SoftBank Robotics Europe). Since the July 2025 asset sale it is supplied and supported by Maxtronics Robotics SAS. 25 degrees of freedom, two cameras, four microphones, sonars, an IMU and tactile sensors, programmed with Choregraphe, a Python/C++ SDK or the generative-AI NAO Activities platform.

- Datasheet (model H25600, Maxtronics, 2026-06): 574 x 311 x 275 mm, 5.48 kg, 62.5 Wh battery (21.6 V, 2.9 Ah), about 60 min active / 90 min normal use, 90 min charge.
- 25 DoF = head 2, each arm 5, pelvis 1, each leg 5, each hand 1. Maxtronics' NAO6 page quotes 58 cm and 25 DoF; the datasheet height of 574 mm is used here.
- Aldebaran (formerly SoftBank Robotics Europe, founded in Paris in 2005) had its core assets acquired by Maxvision Technology in July 2025; the French subsidiary Maxtronics now sells and supports NAO. aldebaran.com redirects to maxtronics.com.
- Maxtronics is developing NAO7 (new head compute, six microphones, ToF obstacle sensing, touch screen, larger battery); price and release date unannounced as of 2026-10-17. It has no robot page yet.

Founded in Paris in 2005 as Aldebaran Robotics, later SoftBank Robotics Europe; its core assets were acquired by Maxvision Technology in July 2025 and NAO is now supplied and supported by the French subsidiary Maxtronics Robotics SAS, which is developing NAO7.
