Overview
MELFA ASSISTA is Mitsubishi Electric's collaborative robot: a 6-axis arm with 5 kg rated payload (5.5 kg maximum with the flange pointing down within 10 deg of vertical), 910 mm reach, +-0.03 mm repeatability and 32 kg arm weight. Buttons and status LEDs on the arm allow hand-guided teaching without a teach pendant; programming is visual via RT VisualBox or in MELFA-BASIC VI. IP54 arm, floor or ceiling mounting, driven by the standalone CR800-05VD controller; an optional safety extension unit adds speed and position monitoring for fence-free work.
