Overview
Small research and education quadruped from Unitree, sold in a Standard and an Exploration version. 12 motors with 33.5 N·m peak joint torque, 3.3 m/s top running speed, 5 kg effective load and 1 to 2.5 h endurance. Dual onboard controllers (perception master and motion master), a RealSense depth camera, human-following and an open low-level API; the Exploration version adds LiDAR and an AI module. Unitree lists no price and routes buyers to Store / Cooperate.

- Unitree spec page (2026-10-17): 5 kg effective load, 1 to 2.5 h endurance, 33.5 N·m max joint torque, 21 rad/s max joint speed, 3.3 m/s (11.88 km/h) maximum continuous running speed; 2 real-time operating systems; 3 protection modes.
- Interfaces per Unitree: 2x HDMI, 2x Ethernet, 4x USB, 24 V input, 5 V / 12 V / 19 V outputs. Reseller: runs Ubuntu with ROS; Gazebo, Webots and RViz simulation. Reseller also names a Raspberry Pi (basic) or NVIDIA TX2/NX (Explorer) as compute; Unitree names no processor, so compute is null.
- Unitree: at CES 2020 a single A1 demonstrated more than 80 consecutive backflips. Unitree's world-record comparison quotes 3.7 m/s by MIT on a treadmill.
- Unitree describes it as a civilian robot and asks users to avoid dangerous modifications or hazardous use.
