Overview
Omnidirectional mobile robot platform from Neobotix (Heilbronn, Germany) for robotics research and mobile manipulation. Four independent OmniDrive wheel modules let it drive along true 3D trajectories with its heading independent of its X-Y motion. It carries up to 400 kg, weighs 142 kg, measures 741 x 509 x 348 mm and runs up to 0.9 m/s for about 5 h per charge. The Basic configuration includes a Sick S300 Expert laser scanner, an Intel i5 on-board computer with ROS, a wireless joystick and a CE declaration; arms, extra computers and sensors can be added.
Compute
Intel i5, 8 GB RAM, >200 GB SSD, WLAN (option: Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, >400 GB SSD)

Key facts
- Neobotix product page (fetched 2026-10-17): payload 400 kg, 741 x 509 x 348 mm, speed under 0.9 m/s, uptime up to 5 h, four OmniDrive modules, Intel i5 / 8 GB / >200 GB SSD computer, ROS included, CE declaration. Basic scope: 2 motors, 1 Sick S300 scanner, battery, wireless joystick, manual charger, documentation.
- Neobotix data sheet (PDF dated 13 Apr 2023, fetched 2026-10-17): weight 142 kg, max speed 0.9 m/s, uptime about 5 h and charge time about 4 h.
- Neobotix documentation (neobotix-docs.de mechanical page, fetched 2026-10-17): top plate 488 mm wide, platform up to 509 x 610 mm (656 mm wide, 822 mm long with scanners), ground clearance 23 mm with battery, bump limit 15 mm at up to 0.25 m/s, 180 x 30 mm wheels, 400 W motors, operating temperature 0 to +25 C, storage -20 to +50 C.
- Battery conflict: the product page lists a sealed lead 24 V / 50 Ah battery for Basic, while the documentation page lists 48 V rated, 28 Ah. battery_wh is therefore left null (a Wh figure would be a calculation across conflicting sources) and battery_swappable is unconfirmed.
- IP rating is not stated on the product page, data sheet or documentation page, so ip_rating is null. height_cm 34.8 is the 348 mm top plate height from the product page; max_speed_kmh 3.24 is 0.9 m/s converted (the page says 'below 0.9 m/s').
- No SDK is stated (only ROS / ROS 2 and the PlatformPilot control software), so sdk is false as unconfirmed rather than a confirmed negative. Training (1 day in Heilbronn) and support packages (Basic 3 months, Extended +6 months) are sold as options.
- Related Neobotix platforms exist but are not in the catalog; year of first release is not stated on the fetched pages, so year_available is null.
- Image: official Neobotix product-page render (Roboter-MPO-700-Hauptansicht-Render.jpg, 958 x 580 px, white background); the SICK mark is on the robot's own scanner, not an overlay.
- battery_hours is left null: the product page says 'up to 5 h', a maximum rather than a typical runtime (same rule as the MP-400 and MP-500). The data sheet's approx. 5 h uptime is not stored.
