Overview
Compact omnidirectional four-wheel-steering mobile chassis from AgileX Robotics, aimed at industrial and research use. Each wheel has its own drive and steering motor, so it spins on the spot, moves sideways and diagonally, and supports double-Ackermann steering. It carries 120 kg, runs about 6 hours on a hot-swappable battery, reaches 2.0 m/s and has four-wheel independent suspension for slopes above 15 degrees. Aluminium T-slot rails, CAN bus and an open-source SDK make it a base for custom sensors, arms and ROS development.

Key facts
- Headline figures from the official AgileX page (fetched 2026-10-17): 120 kg payload, 6 h runtime, 2.0 m/s speed, four-wheel independent suspension for slopes above 15 degrees, hot-swappable battery, aluminium T-slot rails, CAN bus, open-source SDK; tested at 40 C high and -10 C low temperature, dust-proof.
- The remaining figures come from the Generation Robots spec table for the Ranger Mini 3.0 R&D pack (fetched 2026-10-17), not from an AgileX page: 720 x 500 x 345 mm, 494 mm wheelbase, 364 mm track, 75 kg, LiFePO4 48 V 24 Ah, 1.5 h charge, IP54, 105 mm ground clearance, 15 degree climb with load, zero turning radius, driving modes Spin / Traverse / Diagonal / Double Ackermann, 4 x 350 W drive and 4 x 100 W steering motors, 35 km maximum mileage.
- Conflicts: Generation Robots quotes 7-8 h maximum battery life and -20 to 45 C; the official page says 6 h and 40 / -10 C, which specs use. RobotShop gives 100 kg payload and 72 x 50 x 37.5 (no unit); Trossen and AgileX say 120 kg. The Generation Robots overview text says 75 kg payload but its spec table says 120 kg in motion.
- Battery energy 1,152 Wh is calculated from the published 48 V x 24 Ah; AgileX does not state watt-hours.
- Year left empty (a 2024 guess from the official store page's creation and publication dates (June 2024); no AgileX page states a launch year. The older Ranger Mini 2.0 is a separate model (the ROS repository covers V2.0 and V3.0) and is not in this catalog, so no predecessor is linked.
- Chassis only: no compute or LiDAR is included in the base price; Generation Robots sells a separate R&D pack (from EUR 28,500 excl. VAT with a ROS 2 PC, camera and LiDAR) that is not recorded as a variant.
- Source of fields: only payload, runtime, speed, slope, hot-swap, rails/CAN/SDK, -10/40 C and dust-proofing come from the official AgileX page. Weight 75 kg, height 34.5 cm, IP54, 48 V x 24 Ah (1,152 Wh calculated) and motor figures come from the Generation Robots spec table; the specs_verified link covers the official-page fields only.
