Overview
Open-source desktop education quadruped from MangDang: 12 serial-bus servos with position feedback (3 per leg), about 465 g, 209 x 109 x 145 mm, a Raspberry Pi CM4 plus an ESP32-S3 microcontroller, IMU, touch sensor, microphone and speaker, a 320 x 240 screen and a 1000 mAh battery. Runs Ubuntu 24.04 or 22.04 with ROS 2 Humble or Jazzy (SLAM and navigation with an optional LiDAR, vision with an optional camera) and generative-AI integrations. Software is published under Apache-2.0. Sold as a pre-assembled kit or a legs pre-assembled kit.

- height_cm 14.5 assumes '209 x 109 x 145 mm' is length x width x height; the table does not label the axes (an assumption).
- dof 12 is not in the store spec table; it is counted from the 12 revolute leg joints in the official mini_pupper_ros URDF for Mini Pupper 2 (github.com/mangdangroboticsclub/mini_pupper_ros, fetched 2026-10-17). Both repositories read (mini_pupper_ros, QuadrupedRobot) state Apache-2.0. Not independently re-verified against the URDF after review.
- Battery capacity is 1000 mAh; voltage is not published, so battery_wh and runtime stay null.
- Store also sells an Upgrade Kit + CM4102000 at $399 for converting a Mini Pupper 1; it is an upgrade part, not a robot configuration, so it is not catalogued as a variant.
- Store notes: the handheld controller is not included (use the web controller over Wi-Fi), and LiDAR and camera modules are optional add-ons.
- Image: official store photo (IMG_1768.jpg on the store CDN), cropped and placed on white.
- year_announced is null: the only 2022 hint was a CNX Software URL date that could not be fetched (HTTP 403), and the store page does not state a launch year; the store's product record was created 2023-06-21 (year_available 2023). The Kickstarter price and third-party dealer prices were not used.
- Tax basis unclear: the product page says 'Taxes included', but the store's Pricing and Taxes policy page says prices do not include handling charges or taxes, and the Shopify feed marks all variants taxable:false. Treat the VAT basis of both prices as unclear.
