Key facts
- Official page (fetched 2026-10-17): up to 4 m/s (8.9 mph), 30 kg (66 lb) payload, climbs up to 14 m (45.9 ft), 4-wheel drive, 0 to +40 C, Exotec bins or trays plus custom containers, drives under racks in any direction. Robot dimensions, weight, battery, charging, IP rating and navigation method are not published on the page, so they are null; the page's images are not hosted files.
- Generation unconfirmed: no fetched Exotec source states which Skypod generation the 4 m/s / 30 kg / 14 m / 0-40 C figures describe, and the page image dates from 2022-09 (it may show an earlier-generation unit; the image is also soft and low-resolution, and Exotec offered no sharper current image on the pages read). Treat the figures as 'Skypod as shown on Exotec's robot page on 2026-10-17'.
- Exotec announced a 'Next Generation Skypod' system on 2025-02-06 (secondary reports: Business Wire, Robotics 24/7, DC Velocity; not fetched in full) with a more compact robot. The official page we read does not say which generation its 4 m/s / 30 kg figures describe, and a dealer page (Bastian Solutions) listing 765 x 660 x 390 mm was not accepted as a source. This entry therefore tracks the Skypod as shown on Exotec's page; a separate next-generation entry could be added once Exotec publishes per-generation specs.
- The product image is the render on Exotec's robot page (uploaded 2022-09 per the file path); it may show an earlier-generation unit.
- Whole-system throughput of up to 600 bins per hour per workstation is Exotec marketing for the system, not a robot spec.
- Founded 2015 in Lille, France per Exotec's company page; year_available not taken from a fetched source, so null.
