Overview
6-axis collaborative robot with 7 kg payload and 800 mm reach from Dobot's CRA series. Aluminium and ABS body of 24.5 kg, any-angle mounting, IP54, 0-50 °C, 150 W typical power, and a stand-alone PLd Cat.3 safety controller. Programmed in DobotStudio Pro (Blockly, Lua, Python) with Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET integration. Sits between the CR5A and CR10A in the CRA lineup.

Key facts

- Repeatability is recorded as ±0.02 mm in remarks only: Dobot's CRA brochure, Dobot.nu and Unchained Robotics all give ±0.02 mm for the CR7A, but the CRA spec table on Dobot's current web page prints ±0.05 mm in the CR7A column (looks like a misaligned cell; unresolved).
- Max linear speed is not recorded: Dobot's CRA web table says 4 m/s for the CR7A, while Dobot's CRA brochure, Dobot.nu and Unchained Robotics say 2 m/s; conflict unresolved.
- IP54 is stated for the CR7A on the Dobot.nu product page ('robot body and control box both IP54') and in the CRA brochure (IP54 per model); Dobot's web table lists IP54 in a single merged cell spanning most models. The brochure also lists the control cabinet as IP20 with optional IP54.
- Joint range: J3 ±160°, all other joints ±360°. Max joint speed: J1/J2 180°/s; J3 and J4-J6 speeds differ between the web table and the brochure, so they are not recorded here.
- Control box: Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET. Noise at most 70 dB (Dobot.nu spec table). Electromagnetic brakes reduce end-tool drop on power loss.
- Dobot's cr-series/cr7.html URL now serves the CRA series page, which carries this model's column.
- Launch year for the CR7A is not stated on Dobot's page, so year_available is empty. No dated source for the CRA series launch was found, so year_announced is null.
