Overview
Smallest robot of Dobot's CRA collaborative series: 6 axes, 3 kg payload and 620 mm working radius at 16.5 kg. Up to 3 m/s linear speed, ±0.02 mm repeatability, IP54 and any-angle mounting. Programmed in DobotStudio Pro and integrated over Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET; the CRA series is certified to ISO 13849-1, ISO 10218-1 and ISO/TS 15066.

- Official Dobot CRA series table (fetched 2026-10-17): CR3A 16.5 kg, 3 kg payload, 620 mm working radius, 3 m/s max linear speed, ±0.02 mm repeatability, IP54, 120 W, 0-50 C, any-angle mounting, aluminium alloy and ABS, 5 m cable to control box.
- Joint range: J3 ±155°, all other joints ±360°. Max joint speed: J1/J2 180°/s, J3-J6 223°/s. End-effector I/O: 2 DI, 2 DO, 2 AI (shared with RS485).
- Speed conflict: Dobot's table says 3 m/s; the Unchained Robotics listing says 2 m/s and the Top3DShop listing also says 2 m/s. The manufacturer figure (3 m/s = 10.8 km/h) is used.
- Operating temperature conflict: Dobot says 0-50 C, Top3DShop says 0-45 C. Manufacturer figure used.
- Communication: Dobot lists Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET for the CRA series in general; the CR3A column carries no separate entry. Top3DShop lists TCP/IP, Modbus, Wi-Fi and RS485.
- ros_support is set false only because the schema needs a boolean and support is unconfirmed: Dobot's DOBOT_6Axis_ROS2_V4 repo README (fetched 2026-10-17, ROS 2 Humble) lists the older CR3 but not CR3A; a cr3af_moveit folder exists but the README does not confirm CR3A support.
- Smallest CRA size; larger models in the catalog: CR5A, CR7A, CR10A, CR12A, CR20A. The earlier CR3 (non-A) is not in the catalog, so no predecessor link is set.
- Price: no Dobot list price. Reseller spread is large (US $22,200 vs DE EUR 13,800 excl. VAT = $15,529). RobotShop and Scan UK listings could not be fetched (HTTP 403), so are not used.
- Image: Dobot's CR3A render from the CRA series page (CR3A.png, 480x720), composited onto white and centred. The source is only 480x720 (arm about 284x386 px), below the 800 px guideline, so the picture is slightly soft; Dobot publishes no larger CR3A render found.
- Review fix (batch 29): year_available set to null (2023 is only implied by the media path of the CRA series page, no launch statement fetched) and sdk kept false because no fetched page states an SDK. Dobot's official CR3A render is 480x720 and no larger one exists on the CRA pages (re-checked 2026-10-17); a stray speck near the base was cleaned from the image.
