Digital Dream Labs Vector 2.0
Digital Dream Labs · Starting from $249.99 · Get a current price
Overview
Small tracked desktop companion robot, originally from Anki and now sold by Digital Dream Labs. Vector 2.0 keeps the original look and adds a longer-lasting, user-replaceable battery and a 2 MP camera for better face recognition. Voice features, including ChatGPT-connected conversation and optional Alexa, need a paid Vector AI subscription; without it the robot still runs but has no voice response.

Key facts
- Official 'Advanced Tech' text (meet-vector page): Qualcomm 200 Platform, HD camera with 120 degree ultra-wide FOV, beamforming four-microphone array, infrared laser scanner, 6-axis IMU, colour IPS display, Wi-Fi. The product page states the Vector 2.0 camera is 2 MP.
- Battery: the product page says the new battery gives as much as 30% longer runtime and can be replaced at home; a 'Battery for Vector or Cozmo' accessory (3.7V 600mAh 503040) is sold for 19.99 USD, but the page does not say that this is the Vector 2.0 battery, so capacity and runtime are left empty.
- Height, weight, dimensions, speed and degrees of freedom are not published on the official pages and are left empty; press-reported figures (about 0.3 kg, 7.6 cm, Qualcomm APQ8009) were not confirmed there and are not used.
- Official store is branded ANKI, LLC (anki.bot) and Digital Dream Labs; the same product page loads on both domains. Digital Dream Labs bought the Anki assets in 2019 (press). Voice commands need the paid subscription; the product page also sells an OSKR open-source-kit version (Vector preloaded with OSKR), but that is a separate open-box product and not the standard unit priced here, so sdk and open_source are set false for the standard variant (schema needs a boolean; false means 'not documented for this unit', not 'confirmed absent') (programming languages not stated on the fetched pages).
- Product-page copy says appearance is largely unchanged from the previous generation; the original Vector is not in this catalog, so no predecessor link is set.
- Year announced and first-availability year of 2.0 are not on the official pages and are left empty.
